@libsoftiktok The best approach would be to just start a tab like the bar would do. When you sit down, you provide a credit card and they open it, you order food and drinks against it until you close out. Not sure why it's not already a thing
Mayor Mamdani: So, our RFP makes very clear that this is a program for New Yorkers to be able to put food on the table, not a program for people to be able to make a quick buck through reselling. I'm going pass it over to our EDC head, Jeanny Pak, to add some additional details.
Interim President Pak: Yes, if you look at our RFP for the operator, we are looking to make sure that we target New Yorkers, whether it be [through] a sort of a library card-esque [system], and also, we manage who's buying and that it’s focused on everyday New Yorkers. So, we are mindful of that, and we're going to make sure that we have all the things in place to ensure that that does not happen.
The problem is that Costco and Walmart lower prices through buying and pricing strategy. These govt run stores are using taxes paid by others to subsidize lower prices and they also don't have to pay taxes. It's not the same. One drives competition the other unfairly drives out competition. It's not sustainable.
@DrcharlieWardQ "the problem is that these companies want to be government s, they want to have totally unchecked power." Her view on the govt might actually be the problem 🤔
@maziehirono Businesses succeed by solving problems—efficiency drives profit/growth. Politicians gain power by sustaining problems. The bigger the issue, the more funding, influence, control they secure. One has incentivize to fix, the other to perpetuate. I choose Elon.
@danzu72 Excess Govt jobs cost taxpayer $, waste cost $$, govt printing $ causes inflation, inflation +higher taxes causes worse economic impact. People risk losing homes everyday because of higher cost of living and taxes.
@lisa_liberal Or...it has to do with the USPS being funded by the federal government and providing terrible service. Zero accountability or incentive to be good because they are subsidized by the taxpayers. Oh, and they lost 10 billion last year. But sure, you don't have an issue with that
@factpostnews Watch the video before commenting. The headline is misleading. Never said national abortion ban. Talked numerous times about persuading people to support life.
@DOGE@DOGE_USDA@DOGE_SSA USPS seems like a good opportunity. Spending millions to deliver junk mail that no one wants, only to get recycled. Package delivery service is incompetent, sending packages back and forth between region distribution centers. No accountability.
@Rep_Stansbury First order of business should be to conduct a 3rd party financial audit of all ranking members of the subcommittee to verify they are clean. 2nd order of business should be to disband the first DOGE Oversight Subcommitte to reduce unnecessary taxpayer costs.
@Timcast And "more federal resources" to support New York, yet she won't support federal resources at the border. Great to see her really getting at the root cause.
@CEOAdam Still seeing a lot of misunderstanding and confusion from people x/Reddit. Will be important for people to understand the conversion, r/s, and settlement so that they can hold brokers accountable and minimize complaints to AMC. Maybe good idea to create a calculator tool?
@POTUS Typical, instead of managing spending, you will use fear to push your agenda. Is this also how you manage the budget in the 20 companies that your family owns?
@EdKrassen I don't believe it's considered stolen valor if he was literally the commander in chief of the entire us military. Technically, he served 4 years.
