Outside of Micah, what is the biggest difference between this defense and past years? They currently lead the league with 92% of plays being Zone Coverage. In years past it’s in the 60’s and they were top 10 in Man Coverage usage. That’s a scheme issue not a personnel. They have the personnel to put together an average D. They’d have a winning record if they could even put together a top 25 defense…

Cowboys fans are frustrated because we can see the potential on the team, mainly in the offense. This offense is elite, but the defense is horrible. It’s hard for me to believe that the problem with the defense is a personnel issue. To me, when nearly every piece of the defense is failing, that’s an issue with coaching, not personnel. This team has players that are talented, we’ve seen it in the past and we’ve seen flashes of some this year. I personally think the defensive talent they do have doesn’t match the scheme of Eberflus wants to play. This stops being a defensive coordinator issue when the HC and front office don’t address the problem.
