One of the things I miss most about living in Toronto is the abundance of FREE outdoor swimming pools across the entire city. Ottawa could only dream 🥲 let's make more happen! @ArielTroster
Ottawa has 9 outdoor pools. One is in Blackburn Hamlet. One is in Vanier. The rest of them are in Kanata and Nepean.
No, Calypso is not an alternative for many people. A day trip will run you well over $100 for 2 people after admission, parking, food and gas.
ICE UPDATE 🧊 | We won’t be able to open the #RideauCanal Skateway this winter. Despite our best efforts, the weather got the best of us for the first time in our history. 🥲

Not sure what this predicts but Quebec’s groundhog Fred la Marmotte has died.
It was somewhat of a surprise - they had a whole event leading up to his prediction only for his death to be announced.
@olipinterns honestly changed not just my career but also life trajectory - I couldn't be a bigger champion. You meet so many fascinating people who open their doors even if we're just "interns". But the alumni and community really make it A1 (just look at all the replies) 🥰 💜
It’s a testament to @olipinterns that some of the busiest people in Canada dropped everything to speak to me for this story. OLIP alumni credit the internship with so much of their success.

@SaraOSullivan@rebexxxxa I find to you:1 Either have little or no expectations of a place - the higher the bar the more likely you're disappointed 2 Non-aesthetic places can have 💣experiences when it's not pretty 3 Acceptance - some of it's just unavoidable 🤷♀️ don't stress about it being 'non-authentic'
Seconding @KenBoessenkool - hits you right in the gut.
"With her death, it’s hard not to fear that so much she exemplified — restraint, duty, grace, reticence, persistence — are disappearing from the world."
My brother once got stopped for not putting his foot down at a 🛑 sign on 🚲 as a 16-yr old kid going to work. The cop said he was lucky his speedometer wasn't on or he could've also been speeding... Glad our tax money is being put to good use stopping such heinous crimes 🙄 smh
Got a nice $110 ticket for rolling a stop sign in high park from the Toronto Police, which I look forward to fighting. Glad to see @JohnTory and @TorontoPolice continue to prioritize the most important public safety issues in Toronto @TheBikingLawyer
Belated News🗞️ After 2 years at Queen's Park it's time to bid my adieu! It's been an extremely exciting run and I'm beyond proud of the accomplishments we've made - none more meaningful to me than those in the auto sector 🚘🍃 ($14B+ invest., thousands of jobs and counting...)🧵
@VictorFedeli Best boss ever! 😍 We were always able to laugh and find levity in some tough moments & makes for some of my favourite memories. See you soon in Ottawa 🤠🤠
