The Guggenheim is an august institution. But destroying protected nature is not art. Help us change their mind.

WHAT DO WADER PEOPLE THINK?
On 17 July24, Gert Jan Verbeek photographed #knot at Feugelpolle, Ameland, Dutch #WaddenSea. It had orange legs, an orange base to the bill, white cheeks and light primaries. Format and jizz are very knot-like. Is this a form of #leucism? Seen before?

The news that broke some weeks ago is confirmed.👇
An important victory for Godwits and other migratory birds for whom the Tagus is a key node in the migratory network. 🥳 Hats off once again to the @eco_flyway team for proving the cynics wrong and that science matters! 💪✊
And here is a link to the German language version of this wonderful movie by Randall Wood (https://t.co/yEfbz49HlC) on #shorebird#migration in our world under pressure:

No idea whether he is on his own right now or in company of other Bewick's. Here's him around a year ago together with his sister (359E) and dad (080T), when they were still together as a family, captured beautifully by @FrederickAFleet...
Another first-ever this winter: 360E (Steffen) has gone to Northern Scotland! He left NL towards the north on 9 Feb, steared west and rested at sea on the morning of the 10th. He is currently staying just south of Mintlaw. Anybody know people there that could go and look him up?
...and a more detailed view of his destination in Scotland. None of the 200+ swans tagged by @niooknaw over the last >15 years have come close to going this far north in the UK. @IBED_UvA@nabu_MOIN
The newest data has come in just now...! He left the region yesterday afternoon and arrived in Belgium early this morning (took a rest at sea near Norwich). Quite extraordinary....
Over last 2 months, German company Oiltanking Ebytem SA caused 2 major oil spills in #Patagonia, Argentina. Crude oil spread along complex network of channels of Bahía Blanca Provincial Nature Reserve. Read Pablo Petracci's disturbing report at https://t.co/6ktMW3N241

Good friend @markasmart of @RSPBEngland, who died in his sleep on Saturday, is rightly being described as a 'conservation hero'.
Such a shock.
