@blacktop__ Did this turn out to be for the 18 Pro series? Those have an under-display IR component and I suppose they might use the RGB cam in addition?

[Joseph Azrak @jv_azr]

@firzafp @OldInternetFeel What's wrong with https?

[Joseph Azrak @jv_azr]

@mesyraa @miaaowing thing is, a completely wiped machine is in itself highly unusual and get can you flagged for further investigation.. if you don't have guaranteed right of entry to a country it can fuck you up

[Joseph Azrak @jv_azr]

@Andz200zx @realBobbyHealy it’s kinda sad honestly, why fake this? seems a bit psychotic

[Joseph Azrak @jv_azr]

@Helene_G_du_P_M @_julian256_ @lafaiel I don’t think this is accurate. I sometimes dig into the heart rate sample history and I see distinct periods of time where it fetches from the AirPods even though Watch is active. There’s also a “heartratecoordinationd” daemon so I think they try to be clever somehow

[Joseph Azrak @jv_azr]

@milesrichardson @B_Disappointed @bernard_parah I suspect if they really want to enforce it they’ll just soft lock you out of your iCloud account until you voluntarily disable the feature

[Joseph Azrak @jv_azr]

@mysk_co How do you know that the “previous report” wasn’t genuinely before yours (ie 6 or 7 months ago)?

[Joseph Azrak @jv_azr]

@HSVSphere @ryanvogel even on v4*

[Joseph Azrak @jv_azr]

@HSVSphere @ryanvogel I don’t think there’s isolation even on v6. I’m running 26.4.

I was bored once and connected an Android kiosk to my iPhone hotspot using some shenanigans and was able to connect using TCP/IP adb and iSH by using 172.20.10.3. Worked just fine!

[Joseph Azrak @jv_azr]

@Celiksei @wesman43 @birdabo Fwiw, mine responds the exact same way with the same number (25). And this goes away when disabling extended reasoning mode. that reduces the chance of this being a hallucination in my book.

[Joseph Azrak @jv_azr]

@raulvk On another note, what’s the terminal font/theme you’re using in that screenshot? Very visually pleasing..!

[Joseph Azrak @jv_azr]

@cloneofsimo What video was this comment on? Curious to see

[Joseph Azrak @jv_azr]

@ipv4fan @qualiascript interesting, elaborate?

[Joseph Azrak @jv_azr]

@freemanjiangg cool, which stack did you use to render this? is it a web app with a canvas?

[Joseph Azrak @jv_azr]

@Lonntoes @DejaRu22 I was also skeptical, but Google SynthID is positive here. It’s generated.

[Joseph Azrak @jv_azr]

@Yoink5558 @bzamayo I turn my wrist like you described like 30% of the time, but its only ever because it just feels more natural. Nothing to do with distance to a picture ;)

[Joseph Azrak @jv_azr]

@shakoistsLog @sophia_gandalf Counterpoint: if your objective function is based on making money, doesn't it now entangle a myriad other downstream factors, such as your entourage, country and society you live in, economic state of the world, current market fads/bubbles, etc? One can earn money vapidly...

[Joseph Azrak @jv_azr]

@VNchocoTaco Curious - what concerns you about this? HW crypto engines / HW accelerated crypto seems like a great improvement? Think Microsoft will botch it?

[Joseph Azrak @jv_azr]

@gordocock @Alan_Purring @brian_armstrong What does he mean by “homes” then…?
