Why do conversations about data centers always collapse into black and white arguments?

One side treats them as 100% progress.
The other treats them as complete harm.
I’m pretty sure plenty of people can see there's a middle ground: mutual agreements, constructive pathways, and practical ways to improve outcomes for both sides.

So what’s stopping those options from getting more airtime?
