Judge: “When did you retire?”
Husband: “Six months ago.”
Judge: “How old are you?”
Husband: “Fifty-two.”
Judge: “Why did you retire?”
Husband: “I worked for thirty years. I decided I wanted to stop.”
The judge looked at the financial statement.
Judge: “What income are you receiving now?”
Husband: “About $72,000 a year from investments and retirement accounts.”
Judge: “And your current alimony obligation?”
Husband: “$4,000 a month.”
Judge: “What was your annual income when that order was entered?”
