Coach & Technical Leader. UEFA A. CONCACAF Gold Cup semi-final. Former Columbus Crew (MLS). Practical philosophy, not theoretical noise. Targeting MLS/USL
Maybe it belongs to the environments that can:
* observe reality faster
* evolve without ego
* adapt without identity collapse
* create authentic principles instead of borrowed language (6)
* repetition over perception
* obedience over authenticity
And eventually the methodology becomes more important than the reality itself.
Maybe the future advantage in football does not belong to the environments with the strongest doctrine. (5)
Because modern football is too unstable for rigid belief systems.
The game changes too quickly.
The context changes too quickly.
The players change too quickly.
Yet many environments still reward:
* conformity over interpretation
* terminology over understanding (4)
The problem is imitation without processing.
Second-hand coaching.
Concepts that were never truly lived, stress-tested, adapted, questioned, or connected to the reality in front of them.
Only repeated.
That is where many environments quietly lose their edge (3)
They start protecting the ideology surrounding it.
And football has always had a strange relationship with hierarchy.
Master and servants.
One mind creates the doctrine.
Others repeat the language.
Then come the replicas of the replicas.
The problem is not inspiration. (2)
At what point does a football methodology stop being a framework…
…and become a religion?
Every era creates its own:
* prophets
* disciples
* vocabulary
* rituals
* copies of copies
Soon, people stop observing the game itself (1)
If you ever get to become a 1st team manager look for things that are broken in ways that only you can see.
The village idiot can identify the problems.
Directors want managers who can show them solutions.
The worst is the coach who gets solutions delivered to their front door but lacks the courage to act.
There are a lot of village idiots out there.
@ParisAeroport You hereby make the list of the most illogical, frustrating transportation, slow staff and ill-equipped overall to meet modern demands of a 21st century airport #congrats
@SJ_AB Kan det vara så att det är ytterligare en försening mellan Gävle-Linköping. Tåget skulle ha gått nu - men kommunikation verkar vara en svår sak för SJ😴
This one's for every coach, scout, and academy director who’s asked: “Are we really developing players—or just replicating a model? https://t.co/uNU4bsTXvA via @LinkedIn
