"They will engage their country in ridiculous, expensive, fantastical wars, to keep the minds of men in continual hurry & agitation, & under constant fears & alarms; & by such means, deprive them both of leisure & inclination to look into publick miscarriages." -Cato's Letters
This was my final episode hosting Power Problems. It's been a privilege. I want to thank Cato for entrusting it to me and my listeners for the support and feedback.

DNI repeatedly politicizes intelligence on behalf of POTUS, including in this very tweet in which she condemns as “propaganda” intel leaks that made an elective, unconstitutional military action seem ineffective. She condemns “propaganda media” literally as she delivers it.
New intelligence confirms what @POTUS has stated numerous times: Iran's nuclear facilities have been destroyed. If the Iranians chose to rebuild, they would have to rebuild all three facilities (Natanz, Fordow, Esfahan) entirely, which would likely take years to do.
The propaganda media has deployed their usual tactic: selectively release portions of illegally leaked classified intelligence assessments (intentionally leaving out the fact that the assessment was written with "low confidence") to try to undermine President Trump’s decisive leadership and the brave servicemen and women who flawlessly executed a truly historic mission to keep the American people safe and secure.

While I'm at it, @tparsi's episode on the US-Iran negotiations before the war broke out was quite prescient on several points, particularly the Israeli positioning. https://t.co/LtrihI8xkh

This was recorded last week (a decade ago in political time?) before the bombing of Fordo, but it's still packed full of insights. During the conversation, Rose mentions the preceding episode on "madman tactics," which is a useful supplement to this one 👇https://t.co/4m2f59DZc3
"contrary to the Framers’ design, the choice of war or peace is 'in the power of a single man'—and a flighty, easily baitable, and rage-prone one at that." https://t.co/c930iQssOu
TRUMP declines to say whether he's made a decision on whether the U.S. will join Israel in striking Iran.
"I may do it, I may not do it, nobody knows what I'm going to do."
