This reads like satire. Um no. BHS is in the old Macy’s, pensions need funding, schools can’t staff classrooms, teachers are under resourced and demoralized, and VT kids are approaching yr 3 of pandemic learning. Surplus?!? This does not begin to cover the debt owed to #vted!
Idea to solve the sub shortage in the VT schools that have been forced to reopen during this pandemic. The remote working AoE staff (and the governor) can set up their offices in the schools and sub when needed. I offer my desk! #vted#remotework#firstdayofschool2020
@MsFabriSbardo Poss Theme: Evaluating and redressing America’s past and present through the lens of SJ. Uns: Examining SJ issues in contemporary America 2. Connecting SJ issues of the past to the present 3. Reflecting on roles & responsibilities 4.Redressing SJ issues in contemporary America
@MsFabriSbardo Although we are still negotiating the unit titles and name of the theme, across town, we are in the process of building a Social Justice themed humanities curriculum that results in student action. If you like I will keep you in the loop. 1/2

When I first began teaching I often found myself crying-confused with the choices of my students.18 years later I again found myself in tears, this time because of the choices made by colleagues as my students launched their equity-based revised dress code. #vted#teachertears
