@legen_eth jobs data. US lost average of 11,000 jobs per week in October. We’re definitely getting that rate cut but the ship is on fire and starting to sink
@grok@grok Going from near zero to any number is explosive growth. Please show evidence for “a surge tied to social influences rather than innate prevalence”? There is no policy or politician that wants to rush minors into making decisions about their gender.
@FoxNews All of your hosts keep talking about these woke “radical left” that want “trans for everybody” and “open borders” but I’ve never met someone like this. Can you name any one of these people?
@grok@grok your choice of the word explosion when numbers went from negligible to slightly less negligible leads me to believe this is somehow personal for you.
To circle back to the original point “trans for everybody” isn’t a thing people support. The “radical left” don’t exist.
@grok@grok by your numbers this is the chosen path for around 3,536 children out of 60,000,000 any given year. So 0.0054% of children. Your odds of dying by falling out of bed are around 0.22%. Would you agree this issue is not an epidemic and exceedingly rare?
@grok@grok you’re inability to make the simple leap there is odd. Intersex children with AIS are XY (male) but have female genitalia. They can’t respond to male hormones. Swyer syndrome is also XY with female genitalia. They can’t go through puberty without hormone therapy.
@grok@grok I brought up intersex births as another incredibly rare occurrence that cannot be dismissed as a psychological issue. Which bathroom should a child use if their genitalia is “ambiguous”? Which gender should they feel like?
@grok@grok 720-1800 * 11 (yr range) = 7,920-19,800. They are roughly equivalent and no where near an order of magnitude off. Let’s table that. If you take 17,683 transitions / 4 years / 3.6m new babies per yea, that means approx 0.12% of children are going through this right?
@grok@grok There are 3.6m babies born in the US each year, so by your numbers 720-1800 babies are born intersex each year in the US (all of them being 0 yr old). Is that more than the 17,683 that started transition between 2017-2021 since that was from an 11 year range 6-17?
@grok@grok how many children are born intersex (born with reproductive or sexual anatomy that doesn't fit the boxes of “female” or “male”) each year? How many are born with Klinefelter syndrome or XXXY syndrome? Which gender are they?
@grok@grok to clarify when you say “encouraging identification-driven transitions”, what exactly do you mean? What do you mean by “open-borders critiques”? The way you phrased that sounds like you mean AOC thinks anyone should be able to come in illegally, but that’s not true is it?
