Enjoyed another great mentor event tonight that was put on by @JolietWestAD!! Always awesome to see @Dick_Goss and the new @jwhstiger!! But was especially cool to be paired up with @KoreyKoser at my table!! And HUGE thanks to @JWgirlsFlagFB & @jtwestfootball for the shirts!! 😎

Tigers Win 7-1. Casey Tyrell threw a complete game only giving up 5 hits and had 3Ks. Matt Marchiniak with a HR and 3RBIs. James Love, Jimmy Anderson, and Christian Chignoli each with an RBI. Tigers improve to 24-4 and 8-0 in conference. #setthetone #4marco

Got to see @jtwestbaseball d. @WHSCatsBaseball 8-5. @pschwarting10 with his 1st HS HR to spark an 8-run 2nd for the Tigers (3-1). @JRico_24 pitched 3 ING with 6K to get the win. @CaseyTyrell2 also pitched 3 innings & had 2 K. But I'm also doing a story on Casey being @jwhstiger!!

Before I get started... I, Uncle Curt of South Suburban Hoops, would like to apologize to the Joliet West Basketball community for not knowing enough about #1, Valparaiso commit, Justus McNair. What I'm tryin' to say is that I knew of him, but I didn't know him, because y'all are too freakin' far down on I-80. Anyway, this kid was utterly ridiculous tonight on offense and almost pulled off an upset in a 68-66 losing effort against the Homewood Flossmoor Vikings Every time I inquired about the Regional Finals against Rich township, everybody I talked with said that there was no answer for #1 as he was the best player on the court and single handedly beat the Raptors. That's all anybody would tell me and they didn't seem surprised, which really peaked my interest. BET... 👊🏾 So today, I get a chance to see this guy up close and personal at Rich Township Sectionals and MAAAAN... He did NOT disappoint. Hezzie, floater, hard drive to the basket, Deep Three.. #Bucket Left side, right side.. Attack. And 1... #Bucket Had me screaming like a little girl all game from his change of pace and desire to win. Very pleasant to see as Mr McNair ended up with a cool 26 points to end his high school career in the Sectional Semi... A really nice celebration this afternoon for @JolietWestAD Girls Bowling 🎳 team winning the @IHSAState Championship yesterday!! It was the Tigers 🐅 2nd state title (2016), and they bounced back from a 2nd place finish last year to do it this season!! Keep Doing Great Things!!!
