Selfishly, we don't want @Sinthia_Kazi to leave, she's the heart of @PeDEL_UofU. If you're looking to hire a UX or user research position, you'd be lucky to get her.
I'm looking for full-time industry positions while working on my dissertation. I have strong background in qualitative research & basic skills in quantitative analysis. If you see any research scientist, UX researcher, or similar research-based positions, please send them my way.
I'm so excited to share this work with the community. We'll be in person at @ubicomp in Atlanta, hoping to have some great conversations with others who are excited about expanding personal informatics research to be more inclusive!
(1/5) I am excited to share our new IMWUT paper, "A Review of Personal Informatics Research for People with Motor Disabilities." I will present this paper in Ubicomp'22 conference at Atlanta (in person) this September. @jwiese@PeDEL_UofU https://t.co/h3bmYGZbjx
I'm really liking Noelle Brown's work on integrating technical and sociotechnical considerations in programming assignments. It's not only clever pedagogically, but really thoughtful from an assessment perspective too. #ICER2022 https://t.co/kzes6FV1Bc

Announcing the first public release of Presenter Mode https://t.co/tCIRvtsjOX
It's a mac app I wrote to pick a window and mirror it. I use it to share my editor, terminal, my ipad screen, etc on the projector, and quickly switch between them without mirroring my whole screen
Excited to announce that I have joined @UtahSoC as an Assitant Prof. Hiring student researchers! Drop me a note if you want to do cool research, run/hike in the mountains, and enjoy the world-famous skiing in Salt Lake City.
It was great to see @UtahSoC undergrad Tom Kauffman present his research contributions to our @PeDEL_UofU smart hospitals project with @neilsenrehab at the @uofuour poster session! Thanks to @uofuour for running the great SPUR program, and to Tom for all of his hard work.
I am pleased to share that I will be joining the University of Utah’s School of Computing (@UtahSoC) as an Asst. Professor in Fall 2023. My lab will focus on fundamental aspects of cryptography, especially ZK proofs, multi-party computation, & connections with blockchains. (1/n)
Very proud of this work! Together with our excellent @UCSF collaborators @staceykenfield@JuneChanScD@ErinVanBlarigan, @Sinthia_Kazi's work shows how formative human-centered work can guide changes in the design of a planned JITAI, avoiding costly implementation mistakes.
My #IMWUT article on user-centered design for Just-in-Time Adaptive Interventions (JITAIs) is available now. It talks about identifying potential design issues earlier in the design process to make the JITAIs more real-world-ready.

Just-in-Time Adaptive Intervention systems (JITAIs) frequently assume that data will be collected in real-time.
Very happy to share that I've passed my dissertation proposal today and I am now officially a PhD Candidate!
Thanks to the awesome supervisory commitee @jwiese@marinakoganCS@smunson Dr. Eliane S. Wiese and Dr. Stephen K. Trapp
I'm so so proud of this work. We, as a research community need to make sure our research methods are accessible, and that we don't penalize researchers who are trying to do that.
How do we adapt HCI methods, or not, when working with persons with spinal cord injuries (SCI)? Read our paper ( with @ah_alsaleem, and @jwiese) from the @PeDEL_UofU lab to learn more.
