@amyalkon Hi Amy- Briefly, I had a fairly good fall and ended up in the ED. Care there was focused and good. Spent one night in the hospital and that was unfocused. When I asked about discharge they could not agree who was responsible. The protocols amplified the confusion.

Medical/Hospital Protocols
I recently found myself in an ED and hospital floor after an accident. I am grateful to the medical professionals that cared for me.
What I question is the absolute devotion to often outdated and unexplained protocols. When I did ask a question everyone was shocked. The protocol must be followed…just because. Unfortunately, many medical professionals have fallen in the protocol trap even when patients could be cared for in a better way.

@WilGunter Fully agree Will. It's more eyeballs than butts in the seats today. I recall meeting a BB coach from the west coast a few years ago and he said their approach was on experience, home court environment, and relative scarcity. As an Econ guy that resonates.
