I am NOT a medical doctor, but I am a scientist. Reading about the rate that #coronavirus is spreading - not to mention HOW this guy in Germany caught it - makes me believe that it is going to become very bad and very widespread.
Get ready. Get educated.

Well friends, Twitter had a good run- it filled an empty niche online. I even made some great friends here!
But I'm not finding it useful (or even enjoyable) any more.
Leaving my account up as an archive - not sure if I'll be posting. Feel free to message me, maybe I'll see it.
@davidfrum What about that accent????
Starts out sounding English - but poor grammar ("Our best days lay ahead of us") give it away as an American trying to fake an English accent. And it gradually transforms to American by the end of the spot. Very strange.
Does taking race and racism in America seriously mean that...white authors can't write about those things? For some publishing houses, it apparently does. ICYMI @RicPatterson: https://t.co/IwjHeEAZci
@Char1ieHa11@MarkMaxwellTV@NeilSteinberg It is ALSO a way of connecting you between apps though. I had been very creful to keep my username and anything ID-related all different between Facebook, Twitter, Google, etc. But once they all force you to enter your phone #, they can totally link everything you do.
@kellyemitchell It was an awful environmental thing. But it was not personally harmful or traumatic, we stayed with family friends for a week. I don't claim to have gone through ANYTHING like what so many people in places like Turkey, Syria, Ukraine, etc. are going through today.
Well I guess Canada doesn't make the NYT - but I was one of 200,000 evacuated in 1979 due to chlorine gas from this train derailment - largest peacetime evacuation in North America until Hurricane Katrina. https://t.co/RezsWIscgh
Out of curiosity, I scanned the NYT archives. Town-clearing vinyl chloride train derailments were freq in the 60s, 70s, & 80s ⬇️
This was the same time that scientists were becoming aware of the cancer risks of VCM and the industrial lobby was gearing up to fight new regs.

The 11-year-old Syrian girl Lina and her mother were rescued after spending 160 hours under the rubble. Turkish rescuers worked 10 hours until they were able to reach them. #earthquakeinturkey#earthquakeinsyria
What’s that quote that’s like, if another country destroyed our fields and poisoned our waterways we’d go to war but because it’s corporations all is forgiven
This article contains the first image (that I have seen), copied below, of apparent surface rupture during the M7.8 Kahramanmaraş earthquake. It appears to show about 3 meters of left lateral displacement. The report is from Prof. Dr. Hasan Sözbilir. https://t.co/ylWIg2awtG
