@netnut123 @EdKrassen In the US, having a Ph.D. in any field grants you the right to use the title Dr. This predates the use of Dr. for physicians. I think that title is or was not used for surgeons in the UK.

@plumeria20091 @Marmel Yes, I haven't had flu in several decades because I am careful like this around other people in the season. I mostly have to wear a mask anyway (pollen, mold, car exhausts, pollution, artificial fragrances....). Inflamed lungs are not pleasant.

@Marmel That will be me. I discovered last year that wearing even just safety glasses with side pieces in addition to my usual mask made a huge difference in how awful last year's pollen season was for me. That face shield will indeed help keep germy aerosols out.
