@_Juuberi_@TheoryWiseOS Worse is subjective, really - a higher fidelity does not necessarily mean I will automatically have a preference for it. I like the SD model because it's consistent with Classic' visual language, whereas I think a mix of SD and HD assets looks a little messy - that's all.
@BleaksBeautiful@tomkektv On the contrary, there's no better time than now to signal this if you're someone who cares about it - it's a beta, and they said at Blizzcon they're open to feedback if they need to pivot.
Developers repeatedly stated Classic's art style is "timeless", and many want to see it.
@BlockEvader22@gum_e_drop@FwoiblesWoW Yes, yes, very good - what an expectedly riveting response
You're welcome to try this little shtick with someone more intellectually comparable to yourself if you like, as the result will probably be better
@BlockEvader22@gum_e_drop@FwoiblesWoW Do you often just piss your own pants in public and chimp out like this or do you typically save that embarrassing indulgence for the comforts of your own home
Put the crayons down little buddy, they're not for munching on
@TheoryWiseOS Agree wholeheartedly - it boggles the mind to see some of these names and fathom how they were ever somehow funny enough to warrant making a character out of
I don't think the humor of intellectual cavemen and political fanatics is worth preserving over decent social spaces
@gum_e_drop@FwoiblesWoW The very post you're replying to clarifies that names precisely like this are not due cause for banning, merely renaming. Read.
@WolfxMan407@Marmstrongwow Not made for retail players =/= retail players cannot enjoy it
This simply means they are not the target audience, but nothing stops them from becoming a part of the audience - your implication that a retail player can only like retail is the more divisive proposition
@ChrisLa824900@Marmstrongwow Genuine question: do you not enjoy different kinds of games? Do you only like Retail and nothing else? The differences that exist in Classic are, by in large, not inherent negatives - they are simply different.
It has always been apparent that WoW:F is for Classic players first.
@NGanetsovski@PlatinumSteelZ@tomkektv Genuine question: what is your line of logic when it comes to thinking higher fidelity assets in a lower fidelity worldspace makes for a more immersive experience, as opposed to asset usage having a consistent style across the board? Trying to understand people's reasoning.
@TheoryWiseOS@Splashdownwas Unfortunately, I think the extent of some people's rationale legitimately is "this is of a higher fidelity, therefore this is better"
There is no thought to artistic coherency or a consistent visual language, nor due grace given to anything perceived as 'dated' - it's tragic
@Splashdownwas@TheoryWiseOS At what point during the cognitive process do you cease to understand what is, quite honestly, a very straightforward desire?
"Shitty art", but the devs themselves call it timeless - which is it? Is it so hard to fathom that people might desire a visually consistent product?
@Dakhaos1@AggrendWoW Yep, of course - I get that! Nevertheless, graphical fidelity alone does not inherently make for a satisfying and coherent visual experience.
I would much prefer a consistent design language than wildly differing asset qualities, but that's simply my opinion.
@naitsade Grateful somebody else is bringing it up - the discrepancy in asset quality has been driving me mad when I otherwise really like what Forever looks to be
I'm desperately hoping Blizzard receives enough feedback that champions a cohesive visual language so they can course correct
@Nimajne23149931@JamesResEvil Prevailing opinion =/= baseless opinion
It absolutely does dilute the developers' intent, and I don't want a disgusting, homogenised amalgamation of AI-scraped faces thoughtlessly plastered over my games by a process that cannot even begin to fathom a game's visual language
@Notdagood@WarhammerMents@RockstarGames Wipe the dust off of your brain and use it for once
"Why are you upset about a consumer unfriendly practice? They already committed to that same observably disliked practice for their last game?"
Do you think just because something bad is expected that it isn't bad anymore or
