@ethereumdegen@adityaag Exactly! I built much more amazing stuff in the past 6 months than in 15+ years of my career. As far as I am concerned engineering is more engaging and interesting than ever before! But it is not he engineering we used to know anymore, if you like to write code it stops here…
Former Dropbox CTO: "We will never write code by hand again."
Meanwhile, mention AI to most devs and suddenly you "don't understand real engineering."
Who's in denial here?
It's a weird time. I am filled with wonder and also a profound sadness.
I spent a lot of time over the weekend writing code with Claude. And it was very clear that we will never ever write code by hand again. It doesn't make any sense to do so.
Something I was very good at is now free and abundant. I am happy...but disoriented.
At the same time, something I spent my early career building (social networks) was being created by lobster-agents. It's all a bit silly...but if you zoom out, it's kind of indistinguishable from humans on the larger internet.
So both the form and function of my early career are now produced by AI.
I am happy but also sad and confused.
If anything, this whole period is showing me what it is like to be human again.
@antonosika Crazy! The era where ideas were worth nothing on their own, where execution mattered, is ending.
Now great ideas will matter more than any time in history. Execution will be cheap, and all that is stopping you are excuses!
Not that this is a shining example - but it’s cute :)
The continue playing option on YouTube music is sooo amazing @Spotify are you watching ;) this is something I am loosing my nerves over for years on you app when I try to go through long playlist of the band or series I love, but always try it hard to get back into after break...
O wow seriously impressed bu @antigravity and @GoogleDeepMind Gemini 3 model. huge step in the right direction and by far the best tool to code with AI. Model currently crashes here and there currently, but I am sure they will iron this out soon.
@var_bincom@varbintech Why is that? I also love ClaudeCode IDE integration, but still prefer to stay in cursor. Their more surgical AI tweaks come in handy now or then. I also like the ability to have more AI models and approaches as a fallback for CC (that I basically never need lol)
I am really just blown away on how good @claudeai Code from @AnthropicAI just works! I was a heavy Cursor user, always worked with their models in there as well. Switched to MAX plan for CCode and comparing it to chatGPT5 now - still blows it out of the water! #AI#AIengineering
AI will not replace software developers anytime soon. But not because the technology will not be good enough - but because it will take most engineers 10+ years to adapt and learn to use the AI tech & tools effectively! :) #openaigpt5#AI#vibecoding#aiengineering#RealityCheck
