There was a time when people went to Badrinath, Kedarnath, Manasarovar and other difficult-to-reach tirthas only later in life when they had fulfilled most of their responsibilities. Roads were treacherous back then and buses could hurtle down into gorges.

But with improvement of infrastructure, people are not waiting for old age and going to Himalayan tirthas even in their 20s and 30s. The current Nepal disaster and various other disasters that are happening with regularity must give us pause.

In the 2013 disaster in Uttarakhand more than 100,000 people were trapped and the army had to work round the clock to rescue stranded people.

I do not think it was a good idea to over-promote tourism in the ecologically sensitive areas of the Himalayas. This year, records were broken when 1.5 million devotees visited Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri in the first 30 days of the 2026 yatra. Joshimath choked under a 25 km traffic jam earlier this year. Kailash Mansarovar is also seeing a massive increase in tourists. The Rasuvagadhi route in which so many people were swept away yesterday has seen an 18.75% year-on-year increase in pilgrims.

Let's not get lulled into complacency by the better infrastructure. When Nature hits back against mindless development, no civil engineering can hold up. There are no easy solutions here but we need to really reduce the numbers of people clambering up over the Himalayas.

There are some diehard Trump fans in this country who thought India could still kiss and make up with America even after all that it did to us. We had invested 1 bn $ for a 100 Tejas GE -404 engines. After 4 years we got just 2.instead of cancelling the order all together we placed orders for 200 more such engines! Now we got the ultimate shock when USA killed the Plans for AMCA. Like ninnies we had designed this aircraft around the hopes of getting the GE414 engines. To KILL this program US just raised the price of this engine from Rs 70 crores each to Rs 200 Crores each. Its clear as daylight US does not want India to have its own Vth Gen Stealth fighters. It will Throw a fit if we buy and produce the SU-57 Russian stealth fighter in India or buy Russian or Iranian oil. It is time to tell the US to go to blazes. Did you know that Harappa was not the first site discovered in SSVC (Sindhu-Saraswati Valley Civilization)?

What we call Indus Valley Civilization today should have been named the Sindhu Saraswati Valley Civilization & the core of it should have been Kalibangan NOT Harappa. Italian scholar L.P. Tessitori found evidence of it in Kalibangan in 1917, a full 7 years BEFORE discovery of Harappa.

Shockingly, Tessitori's findings reveal that in 1900, British engineer Warren was constructing a section of the Jodhpur-Bikaner Railway. He ruthlessly dug up ancient bricks & terracotta artifacts from 2 large mounds of Kalibangan, which were smashed into gravel for the tracks!

Thankfully Tessitori was curious enough to dig himself at the site. What he found was incredible - pottery, terracotta cakes, beads, bangles, brick platforms, burial urns, vases, charred bones, tiles, rings, perforated jars, bull figurines, disc beads, buttons & copper objects!

Though he had no idea how old the artifacts were, Tessitori was dedicated & recorded all the evidence. Yet, inexplicably Kalibangan was IGNORED by ASI's Marshall & in 1923-24 the lies of Pakistan as the cradle of "Indus Valley civilization" with type site Harappa was born.

In December 1947, Hungarian British archaeologist Aurel Stein surveyed the area & read Tessitori's records, but reported there were no remains of Chalcolithic period. Stein who was fascinated with finding Greco-Buddhist traces of Alexander just didn't find Kalibangan worthy enough.

It was only after 1951, 4 years after Partition, that A. Ghosh carried out systematic explorations in the region & found 25+ mounds of "Harappan culture" of which Kalibangan stood out for its twin mound complex, which resembled the urban structures of Mohenjodaro & Harappa.

If the Kalibangan evidence of Tessitori in 1919 had been explored, we would call it Saraswati Valley Civilization today with a crucial extra detail, Kalibangan not only has all the elements of advanced urban design, plumbing, etc. but Fire altars in a ritual citadel & within homes too. Radiocarbon dating by ASI has verified that Kalibangan dates back to 3000 BCE.

Had Kalibangan been excavated thoroughly in 1920s, it would have been clear that the rituals of Vedic civilization were already an integral part of the SSC culture, & undermined the British lies of a mythical Aryan Invasion theory that has plagued Hindu history for far too long

जिस तरीके से वो बोल रहा है कि वो दीन मे दाखिल हुआ , अलहमदुलिल्ला, नबी असल्म वल्�� , नबी की सुन्नत , उसका अमल , दीनी रवायत वगैरह वगैरह , जिस तरीके से वो आतंकवादियो की तरह उंगली दिखा रहा है , उसी से पता चल रहा है कि , उसके दिमाग मे ये जो फफूँद लगी है , उसके पीछे केवल आशिकी और कोई लडकी तो नही हो सकती ।
उसके कारनामे के पीछे Neglected parenting जिम्मेदार है । जाहि�� सी बात है , उसके मन का धर्म और संस्कृति वाला कोना उसके माँ बाप ने खाली छोडा , जिसे किसी और ने भर दिया ।

अब आते है इन धर्म के व्यापारियो पे , जिन्होने हमारे धर्म को बर्बाद करने मे कोई कसर नही छोड रखी है । धर्म का मतलब चमत्कार बनाकर रख दिया है , झूठ मूठ का जुदाई शक्ति का संसार रचने का झूठा स्वांग कर रहे है , ये कथित धर्म प्रचारक ।

महंगी गाडियां , सजे हुए मंच , बाउंसरो की फौज , और नितांत मूर्खता वाली बकचोई , जिससे अच्छा भला आदमी भी ऊब जाये ।

एक हल्दीपोतू राम है , जो धर्म के नाम पर धर्मप्रचारक कम , "लवगुरू " ज्यादा बना बैठा है , प्रेम ये है , प्रेम वो है , प्रेम ही प्रेम । कोई राधा को सर्वोच्य शक्ति , और आस्ट्रेलिया को अस्त्रालय बता रहा है । कोई लाॅजिकल बात नही , कोई तर्क नही , छिछली , सतही बकचोई पेली जा रही है धर्म के नाम पर ।

आस्था और धर्म का नाम लेकर , सिर्फ अपना गुणगान , अपनी बाते , खुद को भगवान से भी बडा सिद्ध करने का स्वांग । ड्रामे , और कुकुर की तरह रोदन .....

पाकिस्तान का एक मौलाना , डाॅ इसरार अहमद , जो सन् 2010 मे ही मर खप चुका है । वो आपके बच्चे को ज्यादा Convincing क्यों लगा ??? क्या वो भूत भगा रहा था ??? शादी की बाधा दूर कर रहा था ??? बीमारी फूँक मारकर ठीक करने के दावे करके खुद को सर्वश��्तिमान बता रहा था ????

Audrey Truschke who claims to be such a knowledgeable expert on Indian history that she claims to correct even the Ministry of Culture - does not even know the number to number comparison of IVC sites & smugly proclaims that the “big cities were definitely in Pakistan”

What kind of expert does not even know that more than 65% of all IVC sites are situated in post Partition India?

The approximate numbers are:
India: ~925 sites
Pakistan: ~475 sites
Afghanistan: 1-4 sites

More importantly it is India’s Haryana which has both the largest site (Rakhigarhi) & the oldest site (Bhirrana, 8000-7570 BCE).

Rakhigarhi is by far the biggest IVC site that has been excavated covering an area of 350 hectares which is a far bigger city than Mohenjo-daro (300 hectares). Rakhigarhi was a manufacturing hub - archaeologists excavated 9+ massive mounds which made up the core residential areas & massive industrial zones filled with circular brick furnaces where gold, copper, and carnelian were mass produced and used to make jewelry.

Moreover Rakhigarhi shows continuous habitation through all 3 major periods of Early, Mature, and Late Harappan phases (5500 BCE to 1900 BCE)

Even though Rakhigarhi is recognized as the largest IVC site (~350 hectares), more than half of it still remains buried! It has not been fully excavated yet because two heavily populated villages of Rakhi-Khas and Rakhi-Shahpur are sitting directly on top of the ancient city mounds. GPR surveys have shown that if the remaining area is excavated then Rakhigarhi's true size would officially expand to a whopping 550+ hectares, making it almost double the size of Mohenjo-daro.

So how can an authoritative academic scholar make such a false and ridiculous claim that Pakistan has the biggest IVC cities?

Yet another very promising and under-excavated site in India is at Lakmirwala, Punjab where prelim surveys and trial trenches show the city spanned an estimated 225 hectares. Once it is fully excavated, Lakmirwala would definitely surpass Harappa (~150 hectares) and Dholavira (~120 hectares) to become the second-largest IVC site in India and the fourth-largest overall.

It’s the same story with Dhalewan (Punjab) which is estimated to span ~150 hectares - as big as Harappa. So far only minor parts of the mound have been surveyed, so potentially there is a massive, structurally complex city sitting unexcavated below the earth. Not to mention there are just as many promising sites awaiting excavation in Gujarat and Rajasthan.

One would expect the self-proclaimed Grand Poobah of “South Asian History” to know this much at least.

Did you know that Ram Mohan Roy the so called “prophet of New Age” was given the title of Raja by Mughal Emperor Akbar 2?

Akbar awarded the title to Roy for going to England on his behalf to beg the British to increase the yearly stipend for the Mughal court from Rs. 12 Lakh to 15 Lakh.

His ancestors too served the Mughal court for three generations. Roy’s sons served Bahadur Shah Zafar.

Here is Roy’s own letter to Governor Bentinck asking him to approve the title of Raja which was granted to him by “His Majesty … Ukbur Badshah” for whom Roy served as the “Elchee (envoy)” and was his representative to the British. He calls the Mughal “the most powerful Monarch in Europe”.
