@MRsalakas They had a review & while the dept & ACARA discourage the use of the data to develop league tables, it occurs as the MySchool website gives the ability to compare schools. This is why it is high-stakes assessment and resulting issues.

@betchaboy Let 80% get the jab to achieve herd immunity for everyone vs also getting the jab themselves and taking a very small risk of complications - it comes down to risk aversion and community responsibility, but with transmission even from vaccinated, an increasingly dangerous strategy

#creatingfuturessummit while journalists may not have a duty to support education & are focused on shining a light on misconduct, they do need to take some responsibility for driving down the public perception of teaching, the 4th estate does not need to cyclically teacher bash
A profession planned, managed, regulated and visioned by members (such as law and medicine) and not government and employer organisations. Teachers have different agenda to governments and employers & should have the power to pursue these as a profession. #creatingfuturessummit
