@KlasraRauf Better is expected from a journalist of your stature.
Would help to have a look at the legislation itself. Apparently, ROW (Right of Way) is being interpreted in a devious manner for social media.

@YousufNazar It is amazing how we start a tirade :)
Would be helpful to have aa look at the legislation itself and what has changed from the 1996 act. ROW is being interpreted in a devious manner for social media. Here's the link of actual document:

A recent job posted at Linkedin. Now, why would an employer mention, "Weekends Off". Was that supposed to be an incentive? Or an obvious red flag :)

@NHMPofficial
A bit longer lunch and prayer break on a Friday in understandable. What fails logic is NHMP's website stating break on Friday to be also from 1pm to 0130pm. Staff quotes anything from 1230 pm to 2 pm keeping everyone waiting for next steps in licensing at H8 office
@OhYesUFUS@umarsaif Not just politicians. They are the usual punching bag (for some right reasons). It would expose more drastically the baboo-cracy (of both civ. & mil. types)
🔴1960: "Plant Paper mulberry - aesthetics"
🔴2025: "Chop down Paper Mulberry - Ecological disaster
🔴2026: " Plant #Palm 🌴" - aesthetics
🔴2030: "........"!!!!!
👉👉Islamabad's administration has mastered one thing:
❌️Replacing one bad urban forestry decision with another and calling it climate action!
The city needs shade, biodiversity and native trees. Not landscaping trends.
#Islamabad #ClimateEmergency
@CDAthecapital@CDAthecapital Please define "large scale". Plantations along expressway could hardly fit any commonsense definition of that term. Palms have propped up around Koral chowk - to provide just one reference.
The question isnt if CDA planted a 1000 or 999, it is use of such plants
🚨 In #Islamabad, we are cutting decades-old trees and replacing them with ornamental palm 🌴calling it “compensation.” It’s not. It’s ecological loss. A mature tree is a #microclimate, a carbon sink, a biodiversity hub. This isn’t #development—it’s manufactured vulnerability.
When forests like Margalla face increasing urban expansion, the impact is not just on trees and landscapes, it reshapes the entire survival system of wildlife.
As natural prey becomes scarce, animals such as leopards are forced to shift their diet towards easily available food sources around human settlements, including stray dogs, rodents, and even livestock.
This shift is not a choice, it is an adaptation driven by shrinking natural habitats.
At the same time, fragmented forests disrupt natural movement corridors. Wildlife is pushed into isolated patches or forced to cross roads and urban areas, increasing the risk of road accidents, conflict, and in many cases, capture and relocation.
What we are witnessing is not just habitat loss - it is behavioural change under pressure. And every such change brings wildlife closer to survival challenges we rarely see, but deeply shape their future.

@gabeeno@awami_rational A look at Islamabad's map would have helped before this tweet 😊
Parts of what is today's DHA fall under zone 5 of Islamabad. In these zones CDAs approval is extended to housing projects/societies instead of individual owners.
