He vist publicat que sembla que s’hauria traslladat al Vaticà “la importància del català a Catalunya com a element cohesionador i vertebrador de la nostra societat”. Però és que el català no és important com a element cohesionador i vertebrador de la nostra societat. El català és la llengua de Catalunya. La llengua endògena, pròpia, nacional, a Catalunya. El castellà ha estat imposat per una via gens pacífica: prohibicions, lleis lingüicides i la despossessió simbòlica de generacions i generacions de parlants a qui els va ser amputada la parla, com expressava Joan Margarit. Quan es parli de la situació real del català, que també es pensi en això.
