The ULM AMS chapter welcomes everyone at #AMSStudent2025 to Louisiana! We’re probably the only student chapter that already gets gumbo and jambalaya in our university cafeteria😂

2024 has easily been one of the greatest experiences of my life.
From the multitude of tornadoes with friends, to my first ever total eclipse, even to a vibrant aurora in Louisiana!
I’ve been blessed with many amazing memories and opportunities that I’m very grateful for!

Had an excellent time at NWS Shreveport! Staff and presentation was great and they even let us help launch their 00z Weather Balloon!

OH MY GOSH!!!
Aurora Borealis spotted in Oak Ridge, Louisiana at 9:00pm with Pilars visible with the naked eye!
Only saw the auroras back in May but never saw it with the naked eye let alone with Pilars. 10/10 experience and glad I got to share it with amazing people!

After many months of research and newspaper reading, I have completed my summary on the LaPlace/Reserve, LA tornado that struck the area 32 years ago on this day.

Thank you to the Tornado Talk crew for giving me the platform and assistance, and to Tim Marshall for the photos!!

The Duke, Oklahoma Tornado yesterday may not have hit a lot, but the damage is still very much present.
Here’s before & after images of the damage path as it crossed Highway 34 south of Duke with grass uprooted from the ground with bits of red Oklahoma clay on the ground. #okwx

Man I love Oklahoma. After falling behind due to hail, my crew and I went from the far east Texas Panhandle, to Northeast of El Dorado, Oklahoma where we saw this cyclic supercell drop 3 separate tornadoes!
One of them scoured the red clay and obliterated telephone poles. #okwx
