How can we connect the particle properties observed by Solar Orbiter with their source regions? And how do we analyse these 300 events?
More details about our findings you can find on ESA webpage: https://t.co/2SQd855feg and in our new publication https://t.co/TZobI5TsZ3
Topical Issue in Journal of Space Weather and Space Climate about solar wind dynamics. If you are interested in contributing submit your initial title and authors list, by 15.12.2023 via an e-mail to the Lead Topical Editor, Stephan G. Heinemann ([email protected]).
My "Researchers Beer" talk is on 5th December at 18:30 in Kulturplatz in Davos. Topic: solar activity and its influence on the Earth's atmosphere, new results from Solar Orbiter, and a new space instrument for solar observations that is currently being built in PMOD/WRC in Davos.
In October 2022, we pointed the highest-resolution ground-based telescope (DKIST) and the highest-resolution imaging space-based telescope (Solar Orbiter) at the same active region. Please find a link to my ESPOS talk recording:

What is an upflow region? What is relationship between upflow regions and solar wind? What the upflow region topology looks like? What have the Solar Orbiter, Hinode, IRIS and SDO observed in the upflow region ? Answers are in our new paper - https://t.co/Yor5WyeEef
Reminder:
In April 2023 is EGU General Assembly. If you use Solar Orbiter data, it is a great time to present your result! We organise sesion dedicated to Solar Orbiter:

The abstract submission DEADLINE is 10 January 2023, 13:00 CET.
In 2020, the Solar Orbiter found small EUV brightenings ('campfires,' see ESA image). We reproduced the geometrical and intensity properties of EUV brightenings with MHD simulations. The paper is accepted for publication in Solar Physics. Link to arxiv: https://t.co/pUdSUCxdHl
