Conflict between value based cohesion and inherited identity driven dissension. Sameness of opposites vs incongruence of alikes. A less talked social issue.

@SanghamitraLIVE@SanghamitraLIVE making desperate failed attempts to outfox all. Sly move. She won't tell @BJP4Bengal published exactly that she demands. She perhaps doesn't understand how national and regional social media targeting and outreach work or she is just dumb.

Paying homage to the #LiberatorofIndia on his 129th Birth Anniversary on 23 January 2026. It is time we follow his inclusive ideology to unite all communities as 'Bharatiyas'-to save the nation from further disintegration. Jai Hind!

The brutal murder of a Hindu man called Dipu Chandra Das in Bangladesh by a Muslim crowd - for so called blasphemy allegations - proves the unacceptable grave danger of Hindus in Bangladesh (and Pakistan), and the barbarity of Islam.

Absolutely wrong! Civil society should be truth seeking , have questioning temperament and critic everything including faith . Faith should be the last attribute a progressive civil society should ask or settle with

@Tamal0401 None gives a fuck. Not Messi, Not Rest of India, Not the rest of the World. No reason to playact now. Go back with ur usual vocation of toadying to the ruling party.
An Open Letter to Lionel #Messi
Dear Leo,
#Kolkata is known for many things, but above all, this city breathes football.
Here, football is not a sport that begins at kick-off and ends at the final whistle. It is a pulse. A habit. A faith passed from one generation to the next. This is the city that has always lived between East Bengal and Mohun Bagan, where rivalries divide homes but football unites souls.
When people gather at stadiums, they cheer for their teams…but every cheer is larger than the match itself. Every chant, every tear, every hoarse throat has kept football alive in this city for decades. Even when trophies were scarce, even when glory felt distant, Kolkata never stopped believing.
In the narrow gullies of this city, in dusty grounds tucked between buildings, a little child dribbles a ball barefoot. He knows he may never play at the highest level. He knows he may never reach where you have reached. And yet, he wears your jersey. Not because he dreams of fame, but because you taught him how to dream. That is not passion. That is absolute surrender to an emotion.
On 18 December 2022, when you lifted the World Cup, Kolkata did not sleep. The city erupted into joy that night. People poured onto the streets wearing your jersey, waving flags, shouting your name into the sky - hoping, somehow, their voices would travel across oceans and reach you. That night, Leo, Kolkata celebrated as if one of its own had finally come home.
And yet, when you came to this city, you did not see any of that. Today, when you arrived, there was chaos. Confusion. Mismanagement. Faults of a few that thousands of fans ended up paying for. You left, and hearts broke quietly. The disappointment was not because you didn’t stay but because you couldn’t see us the way we truly are.
Now you are in #Hyderabad. And as we see the warmth, the order, the celebration there, the feeling grows heavier. Not out of envy but out of grief for what we missed. For what you missed.
Those who built walls between you and the people should be sidelined. But the love should not be unseen.
Leo, Kolkata is not perfect. But it is honest. It loves fiercely. It loves forever. This city does not ask for much - only a moment, a glance, a chance to show you what you mean to us. To let you see the streets that once ran wild for you, the children who still wear your name on their backs, the city that once shouted itself hoarse just for you.
Please come back.
Not for an event.
Not for an appearance.
But to feel the love…raw, imperfect, and real.
Come back, Leo.
Kolkata is waiting.
With hope, regret, and endless love,
Someone from the city that breathes football, yet sad tonight !

One thing I genuinely feel is that the moment you start getting too political, you start becoming joyless in life. This is applicable to both, right and left. Your political opinion should be a part of your identity, not your whole personality itself. That honestly makes you joyless and insufferable to be around. The only people who are/should be completely political and see everything from the lens of their political opinion are people who have something to gain from it, otherwise by doing this you're just being stupid and a genuine pain for people around you.
Watch/play sports, enjoy movies, crack jokes, have a life.
The answer is simple
Till the potential and capabilities of the entity to harm us reduces to zero. And it is called truth-telling. Concept alien to many

Opinion - Calling out the atrocities of a neighbour is not ‘propaganda’. It is ‘Naming & Shaming’ and there is nothing wrong with it.
But the question is - how long will you continue to do so? For how long will you continue to show those few incidents to sell your ideology through movies? What we saw in last Friday’s release is not just naming and shaming but it is ‘instigating’, ‘obsession’ and to an extent ‘hate-mongering’. It is dangerous, especially when a director who knows his craft very well does it.
Kudos for honesty !
@ArshadMadani007 when you say you have no objection ; are you okay these people doing "kufr" and going to hell or not?
@ARanganathan72 what does ur expertise say ?
We have no objection to anyone reciting or singing “Vande Mataram”. However, a Muslim worships only one Allah and cannot associate anyone else with Him in worship.
The contents of “Vande Mataram” are based on beliefs that contradict Islamic monotheism; in its four verses, the homeland is likened to a deity and to Durga Mata, and words associated with worship are used.
Furthermore, the meaning of Vande Mataram is essentially “Mother, I worship you”, which goes against the religious beliefs of a Muslim. Therefore, no one can be forced to chant or sing any slogan or song that contradicts their faith. The Constitution of India grants every citizen freedom of religion (Article 25) and freedom of expression (Article 19).
Love for one’s country is one thing; worshipping it is another. Muslims do not need anyone’s certificate to prove their patriotism—their sacrifices in the freedom struggle are a shining chapter of history.
We believe in one God; besides Allah, we accept no one as worthy of worship and bow before none. We would accept death, but never accept polytheism.

Aditya Dhar has truly crossed a limit of cheapness in Bollywood.
The extreme violence, gore and torture shown in his latest film trailer is the equivalent of watching ISIS beheadings and calling it “entertainment”.
His lust for money is so unhinged that he is willingly poisoning the minds of the young generation, desensitizing them to gore and glorifying unimaginable torture.
This is the chance for Censor Board to show if have a bigger problem with people kissing or watching someone get skinned alive.
There is an undated video of Delhi blasts accused Umar Nabi justifying suicide bombing as “martyrdom,” and that it’s “misunderstood.” Suicide is haram in Islam and the killing of innocents is a grave sin. Such acts are also against the law of the land. They are not “misunderstood” in any way. This is terrorism and nothing else.
During Operation Sindoor and Mahadev @AmitShah had assured Parliament that no local Kashmiri had joined terror groups in the last six months. Where did this group come from then? Who is accountable for the failure to detect this group?
If Hinduism is truly inclusive and affirms that there are many ways to God, then Hindus should have no problem if Usha Vance makes her own decision and converts to Christianity. I’m not saying she will, I’m merely saying that it makes no sense for Hindus to object. Am I wrong?
“Hinduism isn’t a proselytising religion!” isn’t a flex
It means either a) Hinduism doesn’t have insights worth knowing or b) you don’t care enough about other people to share those insights with them.
Any religion that knows truth and loves people will proselytise.
the central entities and now the ECI will also learn the hard way. U cant use rules to play against someone who has decided to give it all to defeat you using all tricks and smoke bombs honouring no rules of democracy… (2)
