When working with young people from trauma related backgrounds, it is vital to consider both their developmental age as well as their chronological age before teaching. Some of our young people's sole focus was on survival, and their brains haven't fully developed properly.🧠🌱

If schools want to improve attainment, it should first focus on our young people's happiness and wellbeing.

Stressed brains cannot learn,absorb,retain information, or problem solve effectively.

What a week! What a send off. Thank you so much @RhiwSyrDafydd for making Ks last week in primary a truly unforgettable one. From myself and my family thank you, from start to finish you always went above and beyond for him. Class of 2024 thank you for the memories 💕💕

And as we approach the last day of primary how could I not thank these 3 special women! 💕 K genuinely wouldn't have made it through his journey so far without them! They stuck by him through some of his toughest day times and loved him regardless. A heartfelt Thank you ladies 💕
