An ordinary citizen passionate about running, technology, and justice in general, the African liberation struggle and the Palestinian cause in particular.
Eritrea regime seems increasingly anxious of Ethiopia’s intensions & is rather desperately calling for international attention to the issue. Their adversarial attitude towards international society has however left them with few friends and allies to help in current predicament.
I know, the “Eritrean Independence” being a colonial project, the leaders worry about your fluency in Italian and English than economics. The “huge” military spending by Ethiopia is only 0.7 percent of the GDP. Eritrea leads Africa by spending 20% it’s tiny GDP.
Let us not mince our words and call a Spade a Spade!
1. The Potemkin Party has been obsessed/immersed in unparalleled military expenditure spree in the last three years.
2. In the last three quarters of 2026 alone, the regime has received 365 UAE Cargo/military deliveries for use in its multiple domestic conflicts and concomitant acts/designs of regional destablization.
3. At the same time, the regime has received - and these are conservative estimates - over 30 billion US Dollars in cumulative external financial assistance in the last eight years from several multilateral and bilateral donors.
4. And yet, almost 21.4 million people all over the country remain in dire conditions whose survival depends on humanitarian assistance.
In a nutshell, the priorities of this callous regime are crystal clear; reckless wars of delusional "grandeur" in lieu of the welfare of the majority of its people and enduring regional peace and stability.
@DanielsonKassa1 Agreed. Besides, if there's an Oromo version of Andargachew Tsige who defends #Shabia crimes and policies, it's Ezkiel. I heard him bragging " Shabia obliterated the Ethiopian army to gain independence" In his "academic" world, the cold war, #TPLF and other factors didn't exist.
Talk about hypocrisy! These four "leaders" claim that only littoral states have any say over the Red Sea but on Nile use want downstream nations to have equal control. Ethiopia contributes most water to Nile and had Red Sea ports for millennia! Get real!

@martinplaut If you're a trained journalist how come, especially at your senior age, you act like rebels' (#TPLF) spokesperson? They proved themselves that a peaceful future is impossible with their existence cause they'll always try to be in power by force.
@martinplaut Always one-sided. You're whitewashing the rebels' intentions who make coexistence impossible. #TPLF old guards don't accept a state that's led by another party, #Fano is a narrow tribalist #Orthomara group that only sees Orthodox and Amhara as legitimate faces of leadership.
@martinplaut We all know what you'll say as a consistent #TPLF (#Woyane) sympathiser. You want rebels to survive while in your Western states the slightest such moves would be considered treason and land you in prison.
@eritreanstreet@Jawar_Mohammed You still convince yourselves Eritrea can offer anything when it's a non existing economy that survives by being a puppet of UAE and Egypt/Saudi in turns?
It is rather heartbreaking to learn that despite efforts by many including the international community to avoid yet another round of war in Tigray, the TPLF leadership early in the morning today launched an all out offensive against government positions in Afar and Amhara. It has taken over federal controlled airports in Tigray leading to the suspension of flights to and from Tigray. The TPLF politico- military leadership has obviously taken irresponsibility to new heights.
2) They crossed unforgivable boundaries to achieve their goals including alliance with historic enemies: Egypt and Eritrea and forced conscription of the local youth.
Of course it makes me sad lives will be lost unnecessarily.
When the 2020 #TigrayWar broke, I was one of the most neutral and reserved individuals. This time I fully support the #EthiopianNationalDefenceForce because
1) The #TPLF saw no solution other than war and betrayal. Instead of resolving conflict, they're only interrested in coup.
@shaddow500@Amie74152698 Surprisingly, many Eritreans run with "self dependent" fiction. Just imagine a 2 billion dollar economy even after forcing citizens abroad 2% of their wealth. How much worse can a "state economy" shrink both in terms of scale and growth rate?
@EritreanPress@YouTube@USEmbassyAddis Remember, it's the Americans who said it, whether it's a fair assessment or not. But you parroting it is hilarious. When relations improved, 400 thousand Eritreans entered Ethiopia in a few months. You won't find 400 Ethiopians in Eritrea.
