Hi! I know the purpose of this company was not to support cancer patients but to refuse the support needed because it does not fit protocols is truly heartbreaking. In fact it would be a huge monetary opportunity for your company even though more risky. My husband needs high dose Vit C 3 times a week but it was refused. A couple of days ago I had a minor surgery. I never talk about my health online, but this time I feel like I have to.

After my second child, years back, I developed extra breast tissue. It hurt, and every mammogram or ultrasound was miserable. My mom had the same issue, and I watched her struggle as it kept growing. I put off the surgery for years because I was scared of the operating room and even more scared of the cost.

Without insurance, the procedure alone was almost $14,000. My deductible is $3,500. I finally did it only because I had nearly met my deductible this year and the date fell on my vacation. So I pay my premiums, then $3,500, and then whatever extra bills they decide to send later. No freebies. No shortcuts. I work. I pay taxes. I’m a single mom. Every dollar matters. And most people I know are in the same boat—trying to fix real medical problems while drowning in costs.

And here’s why I’m writing this.

In 2024, Ilene’s endocrinology APRN wrote her a referral for a double mastectomy. My overwhelmed, confused teenage daughter—who had no physical medical issue—was immediately approved for the removal of healthy breasts. For free. Surgery scheduled for December 23rd, 2024. Fully covered by the state. Not a single bill.

So let me get this straight:

To fix painful, medically necessary tissue?
I have to pay thousands.

To remove healthy breasts from a vulnerable young girl?
That’s 100% funded, no questions asked.

This is the system we’re living in: real medical needs are pushed onto families, but mutilation of healthy female bodies is treated as a priority expense.

And that should outrage every taxpayer.
