@NYStudentFinAid I work with a student who just discovered she doesn't qualify for FAFSA because of immigration status. She was accepted at SUNY schools. She qualifies for NYS Dream Act - Excelsior application is closed (but reopening in May). Can she apply then for Fall 2022?

@readwrite7B Mike-The comparison between these audio recordings and the speeches from last year is interesting. I wonder if not having an audience watch them allows the kids to speak more naturally & slower and with greater intonation? I guess being a year older & more mature helps too :-)

@dbilmes @rmbyrne And it doesn’t give students any real understanding about how the Google algorithm can result in more popular sites (like Wikipedia) being ranked higher than more credible sites. It’s a good start, but not a place to end when teaching effective search strategies.

@readwrite7B @carol_weston @Ccbf2019 So cool Mike! I loved this book and have recommended it to many 7th and 8th graders. I always made a point of telling them that the author was actually a teen advice columnist in real life...and did you know that much of the book takes place in Armonk?
