I had a great session with faculty members and students from the Josef Korbel school of International Studies, on CEWARN’s work & its latest book “Conflict Early Warning in the Horn: CEWARN’s Journey”. The session was hosted by the Africa Center Director @Kabandula.
2. The lesson from #Somalia is that to defeat terrorist groups, it must be locally owned. A combination of the 1. *political* (reconciliation), military (degrade capabilities), economics (deprive them of their revenues), social (rule of law) & ideological with support from IC.
