After the Summer Campaign of 2014, a fragile ceasefire, the Minsk Protocol, slowed down the Donbass War. Fierce fighting would soon reappear and peak at two colossal struggles - the battles of Donetsk Airport and Debaltsevo. The finale of the latter coincided with the second ceasefire - Minsk II.
We reconstruct these battles in detail and zoom out from the battlefield, putting the combat in the context of negotiations, and the whole war in the context of geopolitis.
With this episode, our series on the Donbass War concludes. We end with a discussion on what the war actually meant, and what, ultimately, Russia's stake in it was.
