They told us that schools allowing boys to play girls sports would be defunded. That has not happened.
They promised us mass deportations of illegals. That has not happened.
They promised to abolish the Dept. of Education. That has not happened.
They promised lower gas prices and grocery prices. That has not happened.
They promised no more forever wars.
When can we expect the Republicans to start delivering on those promises?
@RepJoeCourtney Permanent Standard Time is naturally best for health and safety. Permanent DST is a fatal failure. Tell your congress members! https://t.co/WCRgtwRQdT
The conversation is changing.
A few weeks ago, the push for permanent DST was almost entirely about “more evening daylight,” “ending clock changes,” and claims of economic or recreational benefits.
Now look at what’s happening.
The pro-DST lobby has become noticeably more defensive. Instead of simply promoting later sunsets, they’re spending much of their time trying to rebut concerns about late winter sunrises, circadian health, children’s safety, and even the failed 1974 experiment. That’s not an accident—it suggests these issues are finally breaking through.
Supporters are also ramping up their advocacy. They’re encouraging people to contact senators, amplifying the same talking points across social media, and trying to keep the momentum alive after the House vote.
But the Senate conversation is different.
Senators are no longer treating this as a simple “stop changing the clocks” bill. They’re asking harder questions about dark winter mornings, biological timing, school safety, and long-term health. That’s a very different debate than we were seeing just weeks ago.
When an advocacy campaign shifts from promoting its own message to defending against yours, it’s often a sign that your arguments are gaining traction.
Keep sharing the science. Keep contacting your senators. Keep correcting misinformation respectfully and with evidence.
The debate has changed—and that’s progress.
You know what really bugs me these days? We can't own anything. Everything is a subscription service, like literally everything. You can't buy Microsoft Office, you have to purchase a subscription for a year. You literally have to pay for everything FOREVER. Isn't anyone else bothered by this?
@bennyjohnson Why say, "Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley's husband's home"? If they're married, isn't it her home also? Or is this another shame marriage of convenience and a play on words???
Byron Donalds and Jay Collins are digging into your pockets to fund their political ambitions.
That’s wrong.
While Floridians are struggling to pay their bills, politicians shouldn’t be forcing taxpayers to foot the bill for their campaigns.
I won’t take a dime of taxpayer money to fund mine.
SNAP should not fund sugary sodas. SNAP is for nutritious meals for families who need it.
SNAP is a roughly $100 billion program serving more than 40 million Americans, and every dollar should go toward putting healthy food on the table. This isn't about being harsh, it's about investing in the health of the American people.
Healthy families build a stronger America, and it all starts with what's on the plate.
MAHA.
China (a communist country) was paying American journalists to write LIES about Trump to make the weak-minded HATE him.
Who are the journalists?
I DEMAND the FBI name them.
If Joe Biden was found to be too incompetent to stand trial for crimes he committed...
Shouldn't he have been too incompetent to pardon other people for theirs?
Prison is perfect for liberals if you think about it:
1. No guns.
2. No privacy.
3. Free food.
4. Free housing.
5. Free healthcare.
6. Everyone is equal.
7. Being told what to do, when and where to be.
It’s their Utopia.
@SweetPeaBell326 Research the health benefits to standard time and the dangerous conditions that happen under dst in the winter - standard time is the only time!
URGENT: THEY’RE STEALING AN HOUR OF YOUR DAYLIGHT EVERY SINGLE MORNING!
— It’s Time to End This Madness
Permanent Standard Time is the honest, natural clock aligned with the sun.
Daylight Saving Time is a rigged, artificial system that forces you to wake up an hour earlier — every day of your life.
Science and history are clear: Permanent Standard Time is better for all of us:
• Health — Better sleep, fewer heart attacks, reduced depression
• Mood — Natural morning light boosts energy and happiness
• Safety — Far fewer fatal crashes and pedestrian deaths
• Education — Kids learn better with safer, brighter mornings
• Productivity — Sharper focus and higher performance
• Wages & Economy — Less fatigue means better work and fewer sick days
• Environment — Real energy savings
• Civil Liberties — Stop government manipulation of our natural rhythms
This nonsense has gone on long enough.
Ditch DST forever.
Save Standard Time — the honest way to live!
Permanent Daylight Saving Time isn’t “more daylight.” That’s the sales pitch. The reality is you’re just stealing daylight from the morning and moving it to the evening.
In June, it feels great. In January, it’s a different story.
Kids wait for school buses in darkness. Millions drive to work before sunrise. Our bodies rely on morning sunlight to regulate circadian rhythms the internal clock that helps control sleep, alertness, hormones, and overall health. Delaying sunrise by another hour in winter works against that natural rhythm. I guess y’all forgot that some people work outside all year long.
We’ve already tried this. In 1974, the U.S. switched to year-round Daylight Saving Time during the energy crisis. Public support collapsed after dark winter mornings, especially with children heading to school before sunrise. Within months, Congress reversed course.
You don’t create a single extra minute of daylight. You just move it from one end of the day to the other.
Winter doesn’t disappear because Congress changes the clock.
We still have winter.
Daylight Saving Time is an Orwellian lie. Tell Congress to oppose the Sunshine Protection Act, and sponsor the Sunshine for Our Kids Act for permanent Standard Time: https://t.co/WCRgtwRiol
Byron Donalds, you should be ashamed. You want a promotion to Governor, but you got rich trading stocks in companies overseen by the committee you sit on, and didn't disclose it like the law requires. You don't need a promotion. You need to be held accountable.
