okay, Claude Code is getting CRAZY 👀
a new JetBrains survey of 15,000+ professional developers just showed something interesting
Claude Code is now the most used AI coding tool at work
it’s being used by around 39% of developers, while GitHub Copilot is at about 21%.
and the growth is wild
Claude Code was at around 18% in January
now it’s at 39%
that’s more than double
and it’s not just Claude
Codex is also growing really fast, going from 3% to 16% in the same period.
so developers are clearly moving from simple AI autocomplete…
to actual AI coding agents
and honestly, this is the part I find interesting
people aren’t just asking AI:
“help me write this code”
they’re giving agents actual work to do
build this
fix this
test this
go through this repo
create the PR
AI coding is becoming less about suggestions…
and more about delegating work
we’re just getting started

you don’t always need to sit in front of your laptop to code anymore 👀
AI coding agents can now work on your code in the cloud.
you give them a task
they inspect your repo, write the code, run tests and can even create a PR for you.
some tools doing this:
→ Claude Code
→ Codex
→ GitHub Copilot
→ Cursor
→ Google Jules
→ Devin
how it works:
put your project on GitHub
connect it to a coding agent
give it a task
let it work
review the changes
merge when everything looks good
so instead of:
“AI, help me code this.”
you can now say:
“Go fix this issue in my repo.”
and let the agent handle the work
AI coding is slowly moving from helping you code → actually doing the coding
Repo:
https://t.co/mTuEZAd9O5
you can now give Claude Code NEW skills from GitHub
and I think most people are sleeping on this
i found a GitHub repo with a bunch of skills and plugins you can add to Claude Code to make it do more
things like:
→ Security
→ Coding
→ Testing
→ Memory
→ Content
→ Model routing
→ Multi-agent workflows
→ And more
it basically feels like giving your AI agent new abilities.
here’s the repo:
https://t.co/CHVeP5d6ao…
how to get started:
- install Claude Code
you’ll need Claude Code running on your computer
- open your terminal
start Claude Code
- add the marketplace
paste this:
/plugin marketplace add Zavelinski/claude-code-skills
- choose a skill
browse through the available skills and pick the one you actually need.
- install it
follow the install command for that skill
- start using it
give Claude Code a task and let the new skill handle the extra instructions/workflow
that’s it
the interesting part is that we’re slowly moving from:
AI model → AI agent → AI agent + skills
and that changes things
you don’t always need a new model
Sometimes you just need to give the model the right skill
think of it like installing apps…
but for your AI agent
SAVE THIS. You’ll probably need it later
and always check third-party plugins before installing them, especially if they can access your files, terminal or credentials
here’s a video that explains how Claude Code Skills work and how to install them
you can try AI models from different providers for $0
yep, $0
i found this while looking for free AI tools and thought I should share it
it’s called OpenRouter
they have a whole section for free AI models you can use for things like:
→ Coding
→ Writing
→ Research
→ Reasoning
→ Building apps
→ AI agents
and you can try different models without paying for each one
here’s how to do it:
step 1
go here:
https://t.co/aXu7ZiIELd
step 2
open the Chat Playground:
https://t.co/JNhRFnoC07
step 3
click Add Model
step 4
search for FREE
step 5
choose any model marked $0
Step 6
start chatting
you can also use the Free Models Router if you don’t want to choose a model yourself
it automatically picks an available free model for you
free doesn’t mean unlimited though
there are rate limits, and some models can become unavailable depending on demand
but if you just want to test new AI models, experiment with coding or try AI agents without spending money, this is worth checking out
and honestly…
why pay $20/month just to test an AI model when you can try some of them for $0 first? 👀
