@teachermother1 I am knitting gnome hats for the entire family because the baby of the family is basically a garden gnome at this point. We think the pointy hat will carry expository weight in the neighborhood. Setting the stage for kid handwork, of course.

There’s a monstrosity of a dinosaur inflatable sprinkler kiddie pool that got us through two years of pandemic in a similar age range. Puffin Rock and Baby Signing Time for novel screen time. Jan Brett, Patricia Polacco, Jon Klassen/Mac Barnett, or Mo Willems picture book retrospective time? Hopefully the library can still provide holds.

Ah, this sucks and I am sorry. My best cat refused fluids for kidney issues. I should have called it before I did. Have the right picture books on hand for the kids and do the thing.(Secular: The Tenth Good Thing About Barney; Christian: Cat Heaven by Cynthia Rylant, but is cat heaven really that big of an ask from the non-believers?)
