@I_Watch_Stuf@Wahoo_Rev_@SuperButterBuns Incorrect. Most PlayStaion games are about 65/45 percent split between Digital/Physical. That statistic going around includes games only available online, so it's unstable in the debate. Most people still buy physical, and everyone prefers to have options.
@GaryPurdy13@BoundaryBreak@davidscottjaffe See, the solution here is just to *not* make games 200gbs.
I have 100s of games that looks gorgeous and only take up like, 5 gigs tops--hell, I think 20gbs is a lot because I've seen what can be done.
The problem is they keep chasing a level of fidelity with diminished returns.
@lachsen@RadicalFishGame That's really cool, actually.
I like learning about game stuff, even though I don't have a talent for it myself.
Y'all are doing good work.
Can't wait for the next Chapter
@lachsen@RadicalFishGame What makes is difficult? (Actually curious) is there some programming under the hood that makes is hard? Because it looks like it could run on like, a SNES (not derogatory).
I am now curious.
@BlueEyedClark I use demos as a way to make sure the game can even run on my computer; I don't have top-of-the-line hardware and we all know how optimization has been as of late.
