Sometimes, a cartoon captures courage better than words ever can. Stabbed and seriously injured in the cockpit, Capt. Smit Machchhar still had the presence of mind to send an emergency signal, fight back and unlock the cockpit door. His actions helped save 174 lives aboard the flydubai flight.

India is proud of you, Captain. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

@SupriyaShrinate @RahulGandhi should think about these people for their shameless efforts. A private retirement plan should be implemented for them.

[Amit Shah @AmitShah]

The Russian President Shri Vladimir Putin’s appreciation of PM Shri @narendramodi Ji’s tireless efforts towards global peace brings immense pride to every Indian. His statement, which coincides with the Jayanti of Mahatma Gandhi Ji, who gave the world the message of peace and non-violence, demonstrates that India, under the leadership of Modi Ji, has today emerged as a trusted voice for global peace.

During periods marked by wars, conflicts and turbulence, Modi Ji has conveyed the message that solutions do not emerge from battlefields but through dialogue and diplomacy. India, under the leadership of Modi Ji, has always stepped forward with help and assistance, whether in situations of war or calamity, giving a new recognition to our timeless tradition of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’.

This is the reason why India’s voice matters greatly today whenever the world faces a global crisis, and Modi Ji’s words are listened to with keen attention.

[Narendra Modi @narendramodi]

An unforgettable conversation with Captain Smit, filled with pride and emotions.

[Benjamin Netanyahu - בנימין נתניהו @netanyahu]

My salute to the Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar for his extraordinary bravery.

Despite being stabbed and seriously injured, he fought back, resisted, opened the cockpit door, and enabled passengers and crew to overpower the attacker — preventing a catastrophic mid-air disaster.

He saved the lives of 174 people, including Israeli citizens and other nationals.

I wish Captain Machchhar a speedy and full recovery.

He is a true hero.

If anyone deserves the Ashok Chakra this year, it is Capt Smit Machchar, the brave #FlyDubai pilot who saved the lives of 200 passengers even when he was himself grievously injured. @narendramodi @AmitShah. Please make this tweet viral so that it reaches the eyes and ears of the authorities.

I am 53, watched you grow into a legend before you even became a hero. You have nothing left to prove! Skip the formulaic elevation. Please give us actor-driven films like Irumudi, Avunu Valliddaru, naa autograph, khadgam. Pure performance is all we need.

[Narendra Modi @narendramodi]

@SauravDassss That confidence comes when you know that you didn't do anything wrong. Especially when you know people who is opposing you are the supporters of anti India elements.

We have an 8000 year-old culture to showcase and yet while one city - Paris - attracts 25 million foreign tourists a year, an entire country - India - gets 11 million. We haven’t plucked the lowest-hanging fruit. We are watching it rot.

My views on tourism, on World Tourism Day:

[Ashok Shrivastav @AshokShrivasta6]
