If a small task suddenly takes me 5 more minutes than I /think/ it does then imagine when you add them all together. For some tasks the difference can be greater. We should make efforts to adapt, but I think offering some grace is also appropriate when it's out of routine. 3/3

My only take to the whole being late discourse as someone with ADHD is that if given ample time to assess your routine, you can eventually manage to be on time to routine things like work (but it takes time). Random events make it hard to assess how to adapt. It's not always 1/3

Distraction that causes us to be late, it's often a misunderstanding of how long each activity takes. I got asked how long a certain task at work would take me on average, and I thought 5 minutes, when in reality it was closer to 7-10. 2/3
