I can't imagine how incredible this feels for Daniel Espino and his family. Once one of baseball's best pitching prospects, multiple shoulder surgeries kept him out of game action for 1,240 days.
To come back. To still be throwing 100. To be doing it in the show. Incredible.
Another day, another phenomenal defensive effort by A.J. Ewing.
If "William Wallace" played CF -> he'd play CF like A.J. Ewing.

In his first game appearance since April of 2024, Mets pitching prospect Calvin Ziegler tossed a scoreless inning with one strikeout for the FCL Mets today.
The final line on Nolan McLean:
7 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 9 K, 101 pitches.
It was McLean's best outing since at least mid-April. Over his last four starts, McLean is undefeated with a 1.64 ERA.
Won’t sit here and tell you Baty is special
But this game shows you why even with inconsistency on offense, he’s much more valuable than Vientos
He can field and he can run
Baty also drew two walks today
Vientos has only one walk since May 1st
Regarding Spencer Strider’s injury last night:
Putting rivalries aside, celebrating or making fun of a player’s injury is never the right thing to do. No matter what team a player is on, injuries are something no athlete should have to endure, and they should never be cheered.
Do better, Mets fans.
