The “everyone’s the same” type of socialism is usually called Marxist socialism.

The free market ones are usually called market or democratic socialist.

@kulze @mcsquared34 A market is not a capitalism thing. Capitalism is when means of production are owned privately for capital growth and profit. You can have markets in socialism too.

It’s just that there’s several different forms of socialism where this “different ways of owning” is done.

The “whole” part you’re talking about might be referring to Marxist socialism.
