It’s not words that show teachers they’re appreciated. It’s respect, value, giving them a voice/ input, treating them professionally, & giving them the support they need to be successful. Help maximize their talents and strengths. Increasing their value is Appreciation.
#Wiredtc might look different this year, but it's just as inspiring! Lots to think about in prioritizing what really matters: the ability to learn & problem-solving. "What's the right model for the future we face?" Thanks @jcasap for a great session!
“Whatever permutations of ‘school’ we face in the coming year, LMSs are destined to play an increasingly significant role.” Here’s how to use LMSs in the most effective way possible.

"The goal of instruction is to support each student as a mathematician, not fix the math." Man, it felt good to think and learn about quality instruction and put chaos to the side for a few days. Thanks to the #buildmathminds20 summit for the inspiration!
This teacher can't wait to interact with kindergartners again, but statements from other "leaders" this week are making me quite anxious and overwhelmed. Thanks Big Gretch for standing your ground. #thatwomanfromMichigan#science#MaskUpMichigan
I want to make this clear — I will not send our kids and our education workforce into our schools unless it is safe to do so, plain and simple. I have made decisions based on science and facts to keep Michiganders safe since the beginning, and won’t stop now.
Later this year we’re rolling out these new teacher-requested features in #GoogleMeet:
✋Hand raising
🔇Mute all
🖍️Digital whiteboard
🏝️Custom backgrounds
😄Larger tiled-view
🔑New knocking and access controls
🔒Lock presentation screen & chat
➕more!

If you're not scheduling parent emails or Google Classroom assignments ahead of time, start now! In reclaiming my weekends, this has been a lifesaver. Newsletter goes out Sun evening, assignments post before I'm outta bed Mon, & I don't touch a thing after 4:00 on Fri. #GoogleEDU
Trying to bring in fun for my kinders where I can without making things too complicated. This week, they had their choice of a math practice page or a project. The project: build your own math mountain and tell math stories with it. Look at this! #RemoteLearning#MathExpressions
Hey teachers...I know a lot of discussion about #DistanceLearning is “How do we assign grades?” & “What is the goal?”
What if we make the goal inspiration...
Inspire kids to learn new skills, new hobbies, new talents...inspire kids to find a passion for learning!
#RiskTakerEdu
@MrsEPark1 @alicekeeler@GoogleForEdu I love how clean this is! I teach kindergarten and have been trying to envision something that's easy for parents and kids to navigate.

@Catlin_Tucker I meditate every morning, and take 3 things from my to-do list and make those my "have to's" for the day (goal is to be okay with letting the rest go - still working on that). I'm not good about leaving right away after school, so I also have an alarm on my phone.
