Logan Stanley at work. This past Track Season saw more news coverage for our hard working athletes than they’ve had in a long time. Very thankful to Logan for all of the exposure to the sport and the AZ track athletes.
With Whitman in the class of 2025, Cesar Chavez’s Mayen Usoro in the class of 2026 and North Canyon’s Devyn Henderson in the class of 2027, the talent in the sprints is deep and spread out.
Desert Vista junior Rickaiya Whitman is one of Arizona’s best sprinters and one of the top prospects in the state for the 2025 class.
She talks about winning the Division I state title in the 100m and 200m, as well as competing against a deep field of sprinters.

Desert Vista junior Rickaiya Whitman takes home her second Division I state title of the day, winning the 200 meters in 24.38. Whitman won the 100 meters earlier in a time of 11.65 (+2.5 wind). It’s been a great meet for the junior sprinter. @DVThunderTrack
Final stretch of the D1 girls 4x100 as Rickaiya Whitman, fresh off her win in the 100, runs anchor and helps Desert Vista win the title in 46.79.
Chandler finishes second at 46.81, followed by Hamilton at 47.33
