@nntaleb Things have changed since Adam Smith’s understanding of the model and Marx and Engles understanding of the same British model inherited/passed on in 1944. Along with Orwell’s 1984 (1948) work.
@nntaleb SPX 8,000 is its largest strike on both sides. And implied vol near the bottom of its range is when crash insurance is cheapest, which is the condition his strategy is built to exploit.

@ThierryBorgeat@jam_croissant Every technological revolution eventually meets physical constraints. Railroads needed steel, the internet needed fiber, AI needs compute and power. The question is no longer how smart the models can get, but where the bottlenecks and resulting economic rents, accrue.
@PIDEpk@drniqbal@nadeemjavaid75 VC Javaid calls it right: the real paradox is institutional, not ideological. The harder question is who fixes it, and why they would. Those profiting from incoherence won’t exit quietly.
@804_local Back in the day I’ve seen compliance as usually a mix, both company and side deals. TDU once handed out notebooks to log daily actions, it made a difference. Today, 804 or the Int’l could build a simple app so members can record notes/photos and access the contract with search.
