Today afternoon, I received a delegation from the Private Sector Foundation Uganda at the Kingdom Headquarters, Bulange-Mmengo, to discuss sustainable energy and environmental conservation.
Energy is essential to our daily lives, but the continued reliance on firewood and charcoal for cooking is contributing to deforestation. As a Kingdom, we have long promoted tree planting at Kwanjula ceremonies and other public celebrations as part of our commitment to protecting the environment.
I welcome @PSF_Uganda initiative to promote cleaner energy solutions such as solar, biogas, and energy-saving cookstoves. The Buganda Kingdom is ready to partner with the Private Sector Foundation Uganda in advancing sustainable energy, protecting our forests, and preserving Uganda's natural heritage for future generations.
