And that was the second switch I bought from them. The first one also stopped working after even less time when the power supply died and they wouldn't send me a replacement PSU even if I paid for it.
Never going to buy another @Ubiquiti device again. Spent $800 on an "enterprise" switch only to have it die 19 months later and they won't even attempt to fix it because the warranty is only for 1 year. Meanwhile my 20 year old secondhand Nortel switch just keeps on running.
@opencode If I've changed my mind how do I remove myself from the waitlist? Every time I go to the page it is as if I haven't signed up yet it doesn't seem to remember my sign up state.
@opencode Not really a fan of not knowing when I'm going to suddenly start getting billed. Would rather be able to just join the waitlist and then get a notification when I'm allowed to sign up for real. Are we talking like days or weeks?
@thdxr For me it's about not wanting to be dependent on AI in order to update my code because what happens to all that messy code if AI goes bust or becomes unaffordable?
Also I imagine the AI itself works better with cleaner code because there's less pitfalls to get tripped up on.
@thdxr Sure it all technically "works" but it's messy and makes the code needlessly more difficult to understand. And the last thing I want is for it to become such a mess that I need a subscription to an AI service just to update it.
@thdxr Been reviewing and revising a lot of AI generated code lately and one of my biggest pet peeves is how inconsistant it is. Even if I explicitly tell it to reference existing code it still ends up inventing 5 slightly different ways to do the same thing scattered through the code.
@theo Tbh I skipped the first video because based on the title I figured it was just going to be talking about how great it was and the next week we'd get another video about how that week's model is so much better than last week's model.
@thdxr This is painfully obvious when coming from other languages. I was recently looking for what the JS equivalent to Django would be and every answer I found required piecing together 2-3 different projects. I just want one thing where everything is guaranteed to work together.
@m_franceschetti forcing employees to work incredible non stop hours over decisions you approved and have been known for years is terrible behavior

@heliumbrowser Not sure if this is a Helium issue or a configuration issue but I couldnβt get FlightAwareβs Cloudflare anti-bot captcha on their login page to work in Helium yesterday. Worked fine in Chrome and Firefox.
Anybody know a good raw photo editor? I let my Adobe subscription expire and was going to switch to @Affinity but just found out it's not for sale anymore.
@m_franceschetti@eightsleep For me the sleep score widget just always shows βYou were awayβ even though the app shows the previous nights sleep metrics just fine.
@theo I've yet to see a version of tags that didn't result in me just recreating a folder hierarchy but with nested tags. Personally I just find it much easier to remember a file's location within a hierarchy than to remember what I named the file or what I tagged it with.
@davepl1968 I wish this were still true in Windows 11. The slowness and unresponsiveness of File Explorer in 11 vs 10 is the main reason I haven't upgraded yet. Opening a new tab should be instantaneous and yet even on a 4GHz Rizen I can still watch it load in the UI elements like a website.
