Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced that Sohail Afridi, Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Babar Saleem Swati, Speaker of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, and Junaid Akbar Khan, PTI’s provincial president, have been “abducted.”

The party said in a statement that several of its members in the National and Provincial Assemblies had also been “abducted” over the past few weeks.

The announcement came after residents took to the streets in Bara Bazaar to protest the declaration of a state of emergency and the imposition of governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
