Polavaram Project Update 🏗
The Centre has clarified that while Phase-1 funding covers works only up to RL 41.15 m, construction itself will continue up to the reservoir's Full Supply Level (FRL) of 45.72 m.
This means there will be no halt in civil works after 41.15 m, ensuring continuous progress toward completing Phase-1 by June 2027, as confirmed by Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti Raj Bhushan Choudhary.
Christians have been in India since St. Thomas the Apostle traveled to the Malabar Coast just decades after the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
But despite this long Christian history, India’s Parliament is considering amending Foreign Contribution Regulation Amendment (FCRA) rules to permit government takeovers of churches and religious charities.
This is a clear attack against Christians. If this bill proceeds in this way, it would be a point of major concern in our bilateral relationship with India.
🚨 The Social Impact Assessment (SIA) for land acquisition has begun for the Vijayawada Metro Rail project.
The Phase-1 corridors include PNBS–Gannavaram and PNBS–Penamaluru.
Public consultations will be held soon.
