Twenty years ago we invaded Iraq. The war killed many innocent Iraqis and Americans. It destroyed the oldest Christian populations in the world. It cost over $1 trillion, and turned Iraq into a satellite of Iran. It was an unforced disaster, and I pray that we learn its lessons.

@staronline It’s a tragedy. No one wanted this to happen. Not the family of the girl nor the family of the boy. We should all look at ourselves as a society and fix this, together. Condolences and may she rest in peace.
If you read news about a young girl getting sexually assaulted and your immediate response is to ask "Siapa ada video?", you need to sit back and think about what kind of human you have become.
A schoolgirl was sexually assaulted in a mosque in Batang Kali. A 20-year-old man was arrested. But instead of focusing on the crime, the headlines highlighted one detail—he is an OKU (Orang Kurang Upaya) card holder. No context. No explanation. Just a label, thrown in like a loaded weapon.
The man has a learning disability, but that has nothing to do with his crime. Yet, in the public’s eyes, the damage is done. Overnight, every OKU card holder—children, students, workers—becomes a suspect in waiting. Parents of autistic children now worry about the growing wave of fear and prejudice.
This isn’t the first time. We’ve seen how people with mental illness are unfairly linked to violent crimes. Now, autism is being dragged into the fire, despite having no connection to this case. A careless headline can destroy years of advocacy, shatter trust, and fuel discrimination.
The press can do better. Stop using disabilities as cheap, lazy storytelling. Words have power—use them responsibly.

New Zealand chef Andy Hearnden, known as Andy Cooks, has declared Malaysia’s Nasi Goreng Kampung the best among three iconic fried rice dishes.
"The spiciness is amazing, the amount of umami is through the roof. With creamy egg yolk, I can’t get enough of that," he said.
