One is using approximately 50 FPVs per day (it was 100 earlier this year in a more intense direction), another said up to 100, and another said 90-110. But they are primarily facing small infiltration groups. The detail that caught me is how the warhead gets bolted on separately underneath instead of riding inside the airframe. They pull the birds out of wooden frames, slap on eight kilos of explosive, fuel them up, yank the "Remove before flight" tag, and catapult them straight into the fight. No more waiting for red headlamps at dusk. This is 24/7 now, daylight runs included.

Prince, the crew commander, put it plainly: we are hitting the main roads to choke off their drones, fuel, and ammo before they ever reach the contact line. "How exactly are they supposed to attack without petrol or shells? With sticks?" Madar asked with that dry Ukrainian sarcasm that cuts deeper than most propaganda. One goal only: wreck the conditions that let them grab more Ukrainian land. Not hoping they suddenly grow a conscience and say "oops, our bad." Just making sure they physically cannot get there.

This is the part Western capitals still pretend is optional. Every B-2 that slips through the growing corridors we have already carved by smashing their radars and air defense creates direct pressure on Moscow's logistics deep behind the lines. The Unmanned Systems Forces say mid-range drone strikes are running 28 times higher than a year ago. Six months back these capabilities barely existed. Now they are scaling while Russian rear areas burn on a schedule.

That is not charity. That is the cheapest European security policy available. Arming Ukraine at current rates keeps the imperial meat grinder fed on Russian bodies and Russian equipment instead of letting one victory embolden the Kremlin to test NATO's Article 5 directly. Every ruble Moscow wastes replacing destroyed fuel trucks, command posts, and Pantsirs on rooftops is a ruble it cannot spend preparing the next hybrid push against the Baltics or Poland. The math is merciless: Moscow loses more soldiers trying to capture villages that had fewer residents before the war than the monthly butcher's bill they are paying. Their soldier is still their cheapest disposable asset, but even that account is not bottomless.

The isolationist crowd in Washington and parts of Europe keeps treating this as some distant favor we owe them gratitude for. Wrong direction. Ukraine is the only force on the continent currently destroying the opponent's ability to project power westward. We are doing the bleeding so Berlin, Paris, and Brussels do not have to. The favor runs the other way. Europe gets breathing room and time to rearm precisely because Ukrainian crews are bolting warheads onto wooden-frame drones in broad daylight and launching them around the clock.

Moscow will not wake up one morning and decide imperialism was a bad career choice. Putin cannot stop even if he wanted to. The minute the meat wave pauses, a million armed men come home asking what the hell it was all for. The only off-ramp is military defeat on the battlefield, full territorial restoration for Ukraine, and eventual dismantling of the Russian imperial project into something that cannot repeat this cycle. Everything else is theater.

The NRK piece shows exactly why investment in Ukrainian long-range strike capacity is the highest-leverage defense spending Europe can make right now. Not because we are brave. Because it works, because it scales, and because it keeps the next war from starting on your border instead of ours. The Birds are not waiting for permission. They are already rewriting the cost-benefit equation for the aggressor in real time. The West can either get serious about feeding that machine or explain later why it thought delay was strategy.

We are always grateful for bad weather because it gives us a chance to evacuate our wounded at a greater chance of survival for us all because r*ssian drones don't fly as much.

It started with telemedicine help from me to the assault team from time of injury (blast injury to the leg due to a land mine) and about 15 hours later our casevac unit was able to get him and bring him to me and my ambulance partner for stabilizing care before we medevac'd him to the hospital.

He made it through surgery and is on the mend. We were lucky this time. Our evacuation times are so much longer due to enemy drones targeting our medical vehicles.

😡 Russia has started arming its tankers to deter NATO countries from boarding them

Two mounted guns have been spotted on the bridge of the Marshal Vasilevsky, one of Russia's key LNG carriers, The Times reports. Experts believe they were installed to defend against drones and possible boarding attempts.

"This is a warning to NATO: don't try to board our ships, or it could trigger a war," said Patrick Bolder, a defense expert at The Hague Centre for Strategic Studies.

According to an intelligence source, if reports that vessels in Russia's "shadow fleet" are armed prove true, European countries are unlikely to risk boarding operations. The Times suggests this is exactly the effect Moscow is seeking.

Last week, France seized a tanker from Russia's "shadow fleet."
