New Jersey father Christopher Gregor is accused of killing his 6-year-old son Corey Micciolo.

New footage shows the boy repeatedly face planting as Gregor forces him to run on a treadmill that was moving too fast.

The father was allegedly biting him in the head as he forced him to run.

Shortly after the incident, Corey was rushed to the doctor because he was slurring his words and stumbling.

During a CT scan, Corey had a seizure and died.

The autopsy report says he died from “blunt force injuries with cardiac and liver contusions with acute inflammation and sepsis.” (NYP)

Reusing cooking oil is considered to be carcinogenic.

Now here is the problem.

It is an absolute truth that reusing cooking oil multiplies the trans fats hence must be disposed after each cooking.

But it’s not just limited to traditional Indian snack shops but also multinational chains. Ever visited my Donald’s or any other fast food outlet that churns thousands of servings of fries every hour? Do you think they dispose the oil after each batch?

It’s a general problem and it starts with the very method and process. Where I live, disposing used cooking oil in drainage is not allowed, rather we collect it in a bottle and visit recycle centre every month to dispose it. There is a process and everyone follows it.

Now if you @chiragbarjatya start suggesting everyone to dispose their cooked oil in drainage as you do, this is going to cause a massive environmental disaster and choke all the drainage system as well.

So let us start addressing the issues in its entirety and not on a piecemeal basis.

So the first step must come from the system to make processes to dispose used cooking oil. Followed by régularisation of F&B industry in India backed by stringent checks, fines and even closure of businesses that breach.

Of course, with the processes set you can educate people to not reuse cooking oil and dispose it the way it should be.

But suggesting people to dispose their cooking oil in drainage is irresponsible.
