@itzz_me_5247 Now you can use directly `navigation.setOptions()` from @ReactNavigation (https://t.co/Ymxet9cBQ3). I'm planning to add .updateOptions in Navio for screens, stacks, etc. Why I started with tabs is bc React Navigation doesn't provide a method for updating tab options (badge, etc)

You can now easily update tab options (eg. badge) from any point of the app!

navio.tabs.updateOptions('SettingsTab', { tabBarBadge: 3 })

Even tho Navio is static, it achieves that without unnecessary re-renders! 🪄

Navio is just another try to simplify things based on my personal experience in mobile app dev since 2013 and aims to be a good addition for React Navigation.

I didn't mean to compare two approaches, both are good in its own way. For eg., with JS-based, you can easily apply any designs you want, however with native it's painful.

@cedricvanputten @itzz_me_5247 @reactnative @expo @typescript @reactnavigation Let's say, you have a tab based app (Feed, Chats, Profile) and want to hide tabs only on a Chat screen (when navigating from Chats) and show tabs again if you open your friend's Profile from a Chat page.
